Brian Noonan from WGN Radio asked me to be on his show - during that fun second 1am hour when we "fell back." It was so much fun being in the studio with him and his producer Christy. Thanks to Christopher Michael who gave them my CD a few weeks ago...

Sixteen Year Old Racine Singer Songwriter Releases (<------That's ME!)
“Race Your Pulse”
Katie Lafond, a sixteen year old acoustic singer songwriter and student at The Prairie School, announces the release of her first CD, “Race Your Pulse.” Katie has been playing guitar and writing music for two years. She has written dozens of original songs. Ten of them are featured on “Race Your Pulse.”
A CD release party will be held starting at 6pm Saturday May 29th at Racine Arts Council 316 6th Street in Racine. Katie will play selections from her CD as well as covers from many popular acoustic artists. Special guest, Zachary Scot Johnson will join Katie on stage. Tickets will be $3 at the door. Ticket proceeds will be donated to the Prairie School Music Foundation and Group Workcamps.
Katie has a mature sound and has been described as sounding like Colbie Caillat and Fiona Apple. [...]

I'm so excited I can't contain it. My CD is coming soon and I'm about to book the party. When the time and date comes I'll be sure to let you all know. It would be sooo awesome if a lot of people show up. My music means so much to me and I'm so excited to share it with the world (:
